Sacred Places of the Buddha

India is home to the Buddhadharma, for it is there that the Buddha, the fully Awakened One, achieved enlightenment.

LBDFI works to beautify the ancient places where the Buddha walked and taught, which still echo with his teachings and blessings. To date, ten World Peace Bells have been donated and installed in Sarnath, Bodhgaya, Nalanda, Rajgir, Vaishali, Kushinagar, Shravasti, Lumbini, Tso Pema, Boudnath and soon Sankasya. May the ringing of these Dharma Bells invite devotees from around the world to pay homage and provide a place for meditation and reflection!

We have also sponsored projects like building public toilet and showers, public kitchen, butter lamp houses, and cremation ground in Bodhgaya.

We are also active in South East Asia and Sri Lanka.
